It aims to create a relaxed and groovy ambiance, often used as background music for studying or unwinding. Things that set it aside from original Lo-fi Hip Hop can be contemporary drum patterns and a mix of vintage and new school instruments.

There are countless genres within Lo-fi music. The musical style originated in Hip Hop during the 90s when producers would combine drum and bass samples from Funk with Jazz melodies and harmonies.

Think of Lo-fi as music that's intentionally a bit "rough around the edges" to give you those warm, fuzzy feelings when you listen to it.

This video was posted to the Jacknjellify X and TikTok account on July 5, 2020 with the text "Eraser swings. Eraser MISSES!" In the video, Eraser is seen walking up to a target with a bowl of darts in his hands. He drops the bowl, takes one dart out of the bowl, and throws it. He misses the shot and the dart lands on the grass. Eraser then takes a couple more darts and throws them. One hits the ground, three hits the board, and one dart hits the board, but bounces off and lands on the ground.

This is of course a very standard pattern, and once you get the hang of it, you should feel free to play around with the Beatmaker and come up with your own creative patterns. The sky’s the limit here!
